Tramadol should be taken via the mouth as directed by your physician. It should be consumed every 4 hours or 6 hours as required. This drug can be consumed with or without food. The dosage depends on your medical condition and requirements as well as your response to your treatment.

This medication must be used at a low dose at the beginning and the dose should be gradually increased. The maximum recommended dose that can be consumed is 400 milligrams per day and should not be increased.

Side effects

Though this medicine is used to relieve severe pain, there may also be side effects of the same. These side effect may be improved if you are prone to drugs or alcohol.

Taking Tramadol while nursing or pregnancy

It is advised that Tramdaol should not be administered while you are pregnant or are breast feeding as it may affect the fetus or the baby while nursing. In case you feel that there is an overdose of Tramadol, you should immediately contact your doctor right away.
